PERCEPTION
Genesis 41:8 So in the morning his spirit was troubled, and he sent and called for all the magicians of Egypt and all its wise men. Pharaoh told them his dreams, but there was none who could interpret them to Pharaoh.
Simplified Declaration: God may on occasion choose to speak to any person through the means of the scriptures, angels, dreams and visions for the furtherance of his global mission.
Amplified Explanation: The spirit of any man, degenerate or regenerate has the mysterious aptitude to recognize and recall acutely and accurately the concepts of an imagined state of affairs while either awake or asleep. The human spirit has the ability to be aware and alert to endangerment and is capable of both receiving and transmitting communication. The language of the human spirit may communicate in cooperation with the human mind, but may also extend beyond its faculties. Therefore, it is invaluable to be in relationship to a community of individuals who humbly recognize the unique sub-culture of the human spirit’s enigmatic depictions.
However, it needs to be unmistakably understood that the dark speech of the human spirit is not a language art form in either its message or meaning that can be decoded with precision or accuracy by either an individual or a community. The reception of such mysterious communication needs to be respected both by our acceptance of it, but also are reticence to assert its implications.
In the biblical narrative during both Joseph and Daniel’s lifetime, communities of magicians and wise men failed in their attempts to collectively understand the cryptic messages. The movement of the human spirit is not an exact science that even the most disciplined of minds or magic can fathom. It is a spiritual message and therefore can only be rightfully discerned by a human spirit that humbly yields to, has been skilled in and is the unselfish habitation of the Spirit of God.
The necessity for the interpretation of spiritual speech is an extremely rare manifestation in the scriptures. It is brought to our attention most notably during the life of Joseph, Daniel, Jesus and Paul. We are given exclusive access to these sacred moments in order that we might observe the sovereignty of God’s global strategy, not so we would seek to normalize this as a practice for our private lives.
The communication of the human spirit is not to be trivialized nor trumped-up as a sideshow act of novice exhibitionist’s in quest of becoming the next oracle, sorcerer’s apprentice, monk, or Christian prophet. The experimentation of practicing on one another to gain inception with unsubstantiated and overly sensationalized revelation is the practice of witchcraft.
Life of Jesus: The strategic movements of Jesus’ life as a child were the results of both Joseph and Mary being perceptive to God’s language arts (scripture, angels, dreams, and visions). Nearly all of the characters in his young life (Simeon, Anna, Zachariah, Elizabeth, John the Baptist in the womb) were gifted or trained to discern the whereabouts of God. Jesus himself at age 12 begins to gain a keen awareness in his spirit that he can know and enjoy God as his Father. Yet, even Jesus had to grow in his ability to be perceptive to the voice of his Father throughout his life.
Prayer: Lord you created me to perceive with my spirit, not just hear with my ears, see with my eyes or reason with my mind. Stir my spirit and grant me humble access into your whereabouts. May my spirit always be alert and awake to your speech even while I am sleeping.
