DAY 3 – March 2013

Do not withhold discipline from a child; if you strike him with a rod, he will not die. If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol. Proverbs 23:13, 14  Proverbs is right, they don’t die but if they don’t think their dying then you are not doing it right.  The dying and saving principles of the gospel for children are learned from their parents. Sadly, most parents practice just the opposite.  Great parenting discipline is like the wind. You don’t see it, but you see its effects.  My platform has primarily allowed me to view those who hate their children not by abuse, but by sparing the rod. But there are extremes on both sides (abuse & neglect). But I take great comfort in the fact that my kids know I love them because I discipline them (Heb 12) and it is never pleasant in that moment, but afterwards it yields a peaceable fruit of what is right. Most parents I see have no peace because of the attitude & actions of their kids. If they only knew how much hard work & consistency it took to obtain peace.

But when you give a feast, invite the least…& you will be blessed & you will be repaid at the resurrection of the just.  Luke 14:13,14  The poor do not want to be invited by the poor, they want to be invited by the rich.  It’s a feast for the least. Luke 14:13-14  Prosperity is a spiritual favor/charism/gift spend it generously. Blessed to be a blessing.

Facing a crisis without an identity crisis is a glory

The easiest thing we did 2 years ago was take a leap of faith to come to Colorado. The hardest thing we’ve had to do was “stay in the air” during the leap.

Relying on the Body of Christ to be your answer to “give us this day our daily bread” has been like going out to dinner with friends.

Some parents can give their children everything, but the one thing that made them successful…to struggle.

Biblical marriage is a picture of Christ and the Church, therefore same sex marriage is  a slanderous accusation against either Christ or the Church.

You can’t love people when you approve the thing that is destroying their life. You love them, but not what they are doing…addicted to scripts, cutting them self, porn, embezzling, abuse, etc. you plead with them with ALL your heart to stop!

You can’t take authority over your life if you don’t have authority over a sink full of dirty dishes or a messy garage. Joyce Meyer
