10th Day of Christmas 2013

12 days 10Day 10 – October 2013

Our mind in fact our entire DNA is destined to be upgraded. – Iron Man III

Evidently BONES (not the tv show) in the OT were a big deal.

  • Burying (Saul & Jonathan bones relieved a famine),
  • Carrying (Joseph’s were taken to the promised land),
  • Touching bones (the dead were raised by touching Elisha’s dead bones),
  • Talking (Ezekiel was command to preach to the dead bone army).
  • Living (wisdom tells us a broken spirit/bitterness dries up the bones)  -the Bone Collector

“The greatest spiritual crisis comes when a person has to move a little farther on in his faith than the beliefs he has already accepted!”- Chambers

A couple of weeks ago I was facing an extremely hard trial for a few days and during that time MacKenzie Welchert (14) sent me this note…I know it’s hard right now! Cause your the man an that’s your job! But on the other hand your showing us integrity, perseverance, and constant love! You and mom aren’t giving up on this faith fight an that is being a great role model for Sydney, Josh, David, Whitney, and I. We may not be rich in the bank or working in an office but you’ve made us wealthy in character and you’ve been working in our hearts! And I love you for that! I hope you feel better soon.

“All men’s miseries derive from not being able to sit quietly in a room alone.” ~Blaise Pascal

If he made you, but life rearranged you…just remember he can recreate you. Ask him…

If the leader is holding a monologue with his staff then it’s not a meeting it’s a talk show.

If your gift isn’t allowed to make room for you, then there is no room for you.

If the leader spends time with the rich, but neglects his staff then you have a poor church.

  1. Take a moment.
  2. Find a safe place.
  3. Stand alone.
  4. Be still.
  5. Control your breathing.
  6. Relax your thinking.
  7. Close your eyes.
  8. Lift your hands.
  9. Enjoy his presence.
  10. Regain your composure.
  11. Be healed by his love.
  12. Let hope rise.
  13. Believe for anything.
  14. Be surrounded by peace.
  15. Be embraced by radiant joy.
  16. SELAH
  17. When you’re ready.
  18. Re-enter your life.

I pray that you will leave the noise, enter into the quiet, make your way past the distractions, duties, and demons, settle into a place of peace, be captivated by wonders, brush up against holiness and be filled with a worthiness as you surrender before the radiance of his healing love in your daily solitude & silence.

May there be a convoy of covenant life, love, healing, joy, comfort, grace, and presence come flowing into every joint, organ, tissue, and cell of your fearfully and wonderfully made body. May your spirit rise up in the splendor of resurrected life and be the medicine that restores you to perfect health. + Amen

My morning meal consists of bread and wine because I need to have an audience with the divine.

Honestly a piece of broken bread and a sip of wine is not worth getting up for in the communion_hands_breaking_breadmiddle of the night, BUT eating at the Table with the King as his Mephibosheth is so healing I forget that I am lame.

I often feel the awe of approaching the Throne, but always leave like I just went Home.

The Church is one magnificent Tree House!

The Table represents the throne of God and therefore the kingdom of God among men.

Don’t forget this…That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat beside the sea. Matthew 13:1  In the next verse the crowd comes, the sad part is that we focus on the crowd and not the solitude & silence by the sea.

Being made whole is the gift of the gospel.

I always have a house full of friends that I share a meal with nearly every night in our Father’s house.

During my morning watch I ate the bread of friendship and drank the wine of love in a communion of saints…many of you were there.

It is so easy to get people together at the Tree, you just have to invite them to the Table.

We need solitude. But isolation is a cancer to the soul. They are different. Dr Henry Cloud

For some it is Reformation Day, although it should be clearly noted we are still under a protest. For some it is the eve of All Saints Day, although it should be clearly noted we are separated brothers.
