Jesus didn’t pray for people like we pray for people…he spoke with authority, he commanded devils, blindness, leprosy, death, etc… I know that we are not Jesus. But the real point is this: It’s not that we are not Jesus, it’s that we are not being with Jesus, so then we can’t model or act in the same way He did.
The hidden life (prayer) of Jesus is what we don’t see in the Gospels, other than we see the working of signs, miracles and wonders, which is the proof that He prayed. Yet our generation seeks SIGNS, we are guilty of coveting what God does, rather than desiring being with Him. Lord Jesus, help us to love being with you more in the secret place. Not so that we rewarded openly, because that is the reward of and for others…their healing, miracle, and blessing. Our reward was given to us when we were able to be with you in the quiet, hidden secret place of the heart and we decreased so that you might increase.
