It is easy to be a spokesman against visible violence, but getting knee deep in the voltage of a man’s heart and rewiring his hurt, pain, fear, hate…is what brings about the peace that Christ came to give.

Christians who have no enemies have not perfected the message of peace, but have perverted the message of righteousness.

You’ll never arrive at the state in your life where you’re too important to help with menial tasks. It’s vital to your character.

So Lent isn’t about punishing ourselves for being human – the practice of Lent is about peeling away layers of insulation and anesthesia which keep us from hearing God’s voice.

Church isn’t going to a building set apart for Christians, church is going into the buildings that don’t belong to Christians.

You always have the right to self-identify as a sinner and become a candidate for the mercy of God. But a selfie is rarely ever an image of ourselves that shows us in the position of needing mercy.

The heart is the Seer of our life. The pure in heart see God

We are not looking for volunteers. We’re looking for people who have been forgiven much, they will always be motivated to love much.

The bread absorbs the fractures and the wine washes away the slivers in the soul.

If Christians don’t take communion (THE new covenant…the Body and Blood) every week because they don’t want it to become routine, mundane, lifeless, boring, a ritual, etc, yet we sing and listen to sermons every week/day. Then are we saying that we are more interesting, creative, artistic, innovative, relevant in what we do than what Christ has already done?

A Japanese woman who had never been in a Christian church visited a sacramental church and when she saw the altar replied, “you have a meal here.”

Following Christ has become a suburban weekend past time, and no wonder so few are interested!

Give yourself some grace, you are not perfect at being perfect.

The moment a church or ministry begins to run as a corporation – making decisions based on profitability and growth…it begins in that moment to lose the tangible presence of God. And as a result, now with the miraculous gone…it now finds itself forced to struggle to provide weekly entertainment to keep the brokenhearted distracted from the pain in their lives. -Rod Pruitt
